Margaret Hale is an English teacher who joined Rocky Hill High School in 2008 after nearly ten years of service to Central High School in Bridgeport. At CHS she developed many academic programs that relied on emerging instructional technologies; she also served on curriculum writing committees and led a variety of professional development programs. She also taught developmental writing and mathematics at Norwalk Community College for six years. Prior to becoming an educator, she managed the most profitable office of a major national car rental company.
Continuing her academic pursuit, she is currently an Educational Technology Specialist candidate at Walden University. Her current academic interests include the development of hybrid-courses in high school settings and fully online professional development for faculty. In pursuit of these interests, she began e-Learning Expressions in 2009 to facilitate the delivery of her online instructional programs via Moodle.
Her professional career outside of academia includes financial and project management for her and her husband’s companies in propeller repair and motorsports. She has applied her combination of practical and academic experience to a variety of consultancies for major corporations and academic institutions.
Outside of professional interests, she loves to cook and practices yoga daily. She enjoys living in Connecticut with her husband and two children.
