 Announcements:  

  • The HRC (Human Rights Club) will be meeting Tuesday 12/12 in 3035 to discuss and plan our next events.  All are welcome!
  • Spanish Club will be meeting on Thursday 12/14 in 3035 for Part 2 of the movie Selena.  All are welcome!
  • Student Council will be meeting on Thursday, December 14 after school in the auditorium.
  • Winter Sports Pictures will be taken Monday, December 18th at 2:30pm in the gym. Wear your home uniform.
  • 2018 SPRING EMERGENCY MEDICAL TECHNICIAN PROGRAM (EMT)

    Middlesex Community College is offering a Spring 2018 EMT Program. Courses offered Monday/Wednesday evenings 6:00-10:00 PM and one Saturday/month from 8-4 (2/10, 3/10, 4/14, 5/12).  Program runs January 22-May 16 and cost is $999.  Contact MxCC Continuing Education at 860-343-5713 to register or visit www.mxcc.edu/ceinfo

  • The Literary Magazine will meet after school on Tuesday, December 12 in Room 3026.  We will be creating advertisements for submissions and discussing a creative writing workshop.  All new members are welcome!  Please see Mrs. Morgan with any questions.
  • The Class of 2019 will be holding a fundraiser at Buffalo Wild Wings in Wethersfield on Monday December 11 from 5-9 PM.  Present the flyer received in homeroom and a percentage of your check will be donated to the class of 2019.  Thank you for your support! 
  • The Animal Advocacy Club will be holding it's annual food and supply drive to help local pets in need this holiday season. We welcome donations of cat and dog food, litter, toys and bedding. Please turn these donations in to your homeroom teachers or Mrs. Malkin in Guidance. Thank you so much!
  • The Homeroom Toiletry Drive will be taking place until Thursday, December 14 to benefit the Rocky Hill Food Pantry. Please bring in the toiletries assigned to your grade:
    • Seniors - Hand sanitizer, laundry detergent, fabric softener, dryer sheets, feminine products
    • Juniors - Soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, deodorant, hair products
    • Sophomores - Disinfectant wipes, spray cleaners, paper towels, plastic baggies, plastic wrap, aluminum foil
    • Freshmen - Toothpaste, toothbrushes, dental floss, mouth wash, baby wipes/diapers
  • CRIMINAL JUSTICE CLASSES AT MIDDLESEX COMMUNITY COLLEGE

During Spring 2018, Middlesex Community College will be hosting Saturday Seminars, which are 1 credit criminal justice-related courses with no prerequisites, no books, and each class only meets for two full Saturdays. Must be 16 or older.  More information can be found on the Guidance website or email CriminalJustice@mxcc.commnet.edu.

  • SENIORS - Goodwin College / High School Partnership Eligible seniors have the opportunity to take tuition-free courses at Goodwin College.  Must have a cumulative B average.  More information can be found at goodwin.edu/earlycollege, in Guidance or on the Guidance website.
